Developing eLearning for a Capacity Building & Credentialing Program with the Global Women’s Institute
The Project: Create learning modules for a rigorous 6-week, competency-based program called GenderPro, offered by The George Washington University’s Global Women’s Institute in partnership with UNICEF.
The Learners: International development and humanitarian professionals across the globe.
My Role: Consult on Learning design for onsite and distance learning events; Develop eLearning material; Train client in LMS usage and best practices.
Tools used: Powerpoint, CourseSites, iSpring, Noun Project
Project in 5 words or less: Cheap build, luxe feel.
The client needed my help using CourseSites to deliver content. It was the first time they’d used an LMS so we covered the basics, including operating the LMS and maintaining organization.
The project consisted primarily of lectures guided by subject matter experts. Modules had to be both informative engaging. I created custom animations that synchronized with the corresponding video and frequent scenario-based knowledge check activities that allowed learners to easily flag critical information.
